After a two-year delay by construction contractors and Port Authority incompetence, the George Washington Port Authority Bus Terminal has re-opened after being closed for a one-year renovation in 2014. The bus terminal is located at Fort Washington Avenue and 178th St. and links with the A train for commuters from New Jersey.  Tenants however have not been allowed to do construction on their leased properties for three years.

The terminal opened to mixed reviews – primarily since there was no ticket counter, just two ticket kiosks which had long lines the other day. (Drivers no longer accept cash on many of the routes i.e. NJ Transit) Again, bad planning.
