Peter Picknelly disclosed to the media that it would probably be around the date of Labor Day that intercity Peter Pan Buses will begin using 7 platforms leased at the new Springfield Union Station.  “We have some minor remodeling to do before we move into the facility…ticket counters, signage, etc.”   The lease with the Springfield Development Authority is getting its final touches.  Administrative offices will be moved from the current building to the 2nd or 3rd floor of the new station temporarily while 31 Elm St. at downtown’s Court Square gets a full renovation which could take one or two years.  The current Peter L. Picknelly Transportation Center will be re-purposed in the near future…TBA.
